Hi,

Apologies for not using Ukrainian language which I have never mastered.

I want to research my wife's parentage, which comes from Ukraine - village Lisagorga (as pronounced by her mother) near Kamianets Podilskyi. I think it is Lysohirka. Family name was Dolinski. I know several family members, unfortunately with inaccurate birth/death dates and obscure given names.

I have some practice working with archives and church registry books (did some research in Lithuania), but I have no idea where to start in Ukraine. Also there is the language barrier.

Can someone guide me to the right direction where to look for census or church records at around 1880-1920? Any chance these would be digital and available in the internet?

I think it is 97th, this one is nearest to Kamianets Podilskyi.

Does Ukrainian archive digitize metric books? Are any of these books available online?

It's funny, but we have in Khmelnytskyi region ... 5 (!) Lysohirka villages!
So, Tynna and Novokostyantyniv parishes are incorrect. The nearest village is in Kamyanets district (rayon).
Perhaps you need to research metrical records from one of Kamyanets parishes.

Can someone recommend genealogist who could do the research for me in this area?
